What is Elevated Work Platform?
Elevated Work Platform training program is designed to teach operators how to safety use a scissor lifts, boom lifts or other elevated equipment. Operation of elevating work platforms in accordance with the legal requirements is a main focus for Pacific Rim Safety Training.
This one day course will provide understanding of all requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act through theory. Part two of this program is concerned with the hands-on operator testing and evaluation. Fall Protection certification is a prerequisite to the Elevated Work Platform.
Course Details
Program Length: 8 hours
Class size: maximum 16 participants
Program Topics:
- Fall prevention and protection
- Positioning the platform
- Working on a raised platform
- Working near a power source
- Transporting an aerial work platform
- Stopping/lowering/shutdown, including emergency
- Maintenance
Program Requirements: a valid Fall Protection ticket, steel toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses and high visible vest.
